I tried again on 1-6-24 and was able to reduce my time to 1:36.92... a time I thought was impossible earlier this week. Between
@rey and
@thunder 's times, I may not try to reduce this. I am hitting diminishing returns.
Nighttime run 1-2-24: 1:37.56 I finally broke the 1:38 barrier. The ending felt really good. I didn't 100% the start (72%) so i know there is room for improvement. Last update of the day for me.
Another update 1-2-24: If I am going to keep trying this, I need to write less for each update. Got it down to 1:38.69.
Update Evening of 1-1-24: (1:39:53) and then (1:39:27) I am starting to figure this out. I now can see the difference between a 1:44 run and a 1:42 run by the mistakes I make. I managed to reduce my time by 2 seconds. I will try to gain some more ground later.
First attempt(s) 1-1-24 .... (1:41.86) I am pretty far off from being good at this. You may ask yourself "how does he know?"
Well, I have no idea how this run was any different from the other runs where I got a time of 1:44. Once I figure that out, I will have opened myself to stage 2 of rocket racing: intentional improvement.
