If you get Enhance correct using the I Feel Lucky button, you get a special tagline.
Metroid Dread
I saw a term in an article yesterday that fits this game. It was "Nintendo Hard". Nintendo has a reputation for being more kid friendly than most consoles or PC in terms of difficulty. One thing they do well though, is make a game that lets you learn from mistakes and try again. Learning the patterns of enemies or using new abilities / weapons to push past where you were able to get to before. They don't just give it to you, you have to earn success, but they make it attainable with just a little practice.

"Nintendo Hard" captures Metroid Dread perfectly and it was great for it. This is the first Metroid game I've ever finished. I even abandoned this game a few years ago because I got stuck and couldn't progress. This time I was able to power through and learn from what I was failing at. By the time I finished the final boss I was able to fight him without ever taking enough damage to even come close to dying, the practice-makes-perfect progression through 4 or 5 attempts was obvious and it really made the game more approachable.

The controls are a little clunky when it comes to trying to figure out what combination of shoulder buttons you should be hitting to get through a certain door or fire a certain weapon, but again, practice makes perfect in that regard.

I leave it at 4 Stars because the story assumes you know what's going on in the Metroid Universe. While the game is stand-alone in terms of the mission, the story is part of a bigger narrative that you really have no context about if you haven't at least looked into what's come before.

You seem to be missing a star.

I went back to this after abandoning it as well. Got to the final boss and cannot get past. Even with videos. But I did enjoy the ride to that point.
