Digital started off being cheaper then physical because it doesn't exist on anything other then internal storage. Then gaming companies realized they could just charge the same which is annoying.

So I get the benefits of physically having the thing but the convenience of digital is just too much. This is especially true in the age of the Switch. Even my transfer from PS4 to PS5 was seamless.
