Digital or Physical

Pick a side and explain your reason(s): digital or physical media?

Always been one that loves physical copies bc they will be worth something down the road and also the biggest part of my collection.
Physical

Used to be a physical guy. But my bones hurt to get up and change the games out now.
Digital

Physical for single player games. Digital for multiplayer.
Physical

Don't get me wrong, I LOVED the strictly physical copy days, but digital is more convenient for sure.
Digital

Always been a fan of the hard case, but I will admit to buying Digital for the ease.
Physical

If I can have it on physical, I want it on physical. Same way with music.
Physical

I’m too lazy to get the things or remember where I would put things
Digital

Sharing...selling... Oh the possibilities! But honestly wish they would come up with some middle ground on this.
Physical

I still have some old cartridges for the nostalgia, but you can't really beat the convenience of digital.
Digital

I understand the idea of wanting to stay with physical, and I'll occasionally still pick up a physical copy of a Switch game here and there, but 99.999% of the time, I'm getting a digital download, whether it's through Steam, the Nintendo online store, or whatever digital store it's on.
Digital

Never bought a game, so whatever the husband buys.
Physical

I'm still old school enough to want to answer this way, but the only thing holding me back is Nintendo's user-unfriendly setup for families with multiple Switches. Until there is some fix or compromise to that system, physical wins for me.
Physical

I'm to lazy to change the disc or cartridges
Digital

Easier to purchase. The only physical copy I have is Mario kart ha
Digital

I attempt to go physical for my Switch, everything else on PC is digital and usually bought through key resell sites.
Physical

I gotta see them on a shelf. Like little trophies
Physical

Collecting is nice but I don’t have the space. I like to download and go
Digital

Ill lose the physical disc eventually.
Digital

I want to be able to resell games I end up not liking. That trumps the laziness factor in my opinion.
Physical

Incredibly too lazy to insert a disc.
Digital

First reason is I guess I am old school and prefer to have physical copies of games. The collector side of me loves to see and display them.
Second reason would be resell value. My side hustle/second job is reselling items, and video games are my number one thing. Crazy value for some stuff.
Physical

With my 1gb unlimited internet, there’s no issue installing/uninstalling and keeping everything organized digitally. This was a hard decision cause I do like having the discs and being able to resell when I’m done, especially for a cool dollar at GameStop!
Digital

It saves on clutter and I care not about reslae value
Digital

I’m old school - I like having the physical copies.
1) Resale value (an ironic argument as I’d never sell most of them).
2) Wait long enough and you can get great deals on used games.
3) Nothing beats having a tangible collection to look at and show off to friends.
Physical

I don’t wanna get up to put in a game
Digital

I go digital now. Part of the reason is I have an Xbox Series S so I don't have a choice. Now with Switch I go physical but its kinda annoying. You do save space on your Switch but the cartridges are so small I have lost some before (lost Mario Golf for about 4 months). Switch Games hold value also.
Digital

I get disproportionately frustrated when I have to change out cartridges for Nintendo games. You mean I have to LEAVE THE COUCH?
Digital

I can't go to gamestop and get 50 cents for my digital games...
Physical

I used to be big on the physical for the trade in part, however the speed of switching games while all digital is amazing now. I am also far more careful with purchases.
Digital

I gotta say physical. Digital is nice but it just feels like you are borrowing the game.
Physical

Physical if it were 25 years ago...this day and age, digital. Now, I would never be able to keep track of all the games I had as a child!!!
Digital

Physical just seems more permanent to me, and I like having a tangible collection. But for games I know I’ll come back to over and over I go digital (Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, etc)
Physical

I used to be all digital until i realized Walmart sold games for $10 cheaper. I'm cheap.
Physical

Digital has it's issues, but then I remember blowing on those cartridges, game discs having one scratch/not being able to play, and losing my memory cards all the time.
Digital

Digital plus giant SD card.
Digital

I like to think that there is resale value.... But I know I'll never sell them.
Physical

Minimalism!
Digital

I wish I could just say F it and only do digital but yeah...I like having the collection. If they did it right and actually made digital games cheaper thennnnnnn...
Physical

I get the convenience of digital, but I absolutely love having the physical copies to look at and collect.
Physical

Don’t have to worry about not being able to access the games.
Physical

I have kids. It's easier to go digital rather than having their tiny little hands destroying physical copies. It's easier to keep up with everything too.
Digital

100% digital, less clutter and the ability to organize this in a digital setting, physically ur always gonna have limitations. But for nostalgia I will ways keep a few things physical
Digital

Digital media = less physical clutter. Just need to be more digitally organized.
Digital

So I get the benefits of physically having the thing but the convenience of digital is just too much. This is especially true in the age of the Switch. Even my transfer from PS4 to PS5 was seamless.
