I read and listen to a lot of leadership development books but not from the pseudo help gurus out there. Like legit people who have done and lived it. Jock Willink (Extreme Ownership), William H. McRaven (Sea Stories), Maj. Dick Winters (Beyond Band of Brothers), LTG Hal Moore (We Were Soldiers Once...And Young), Col David Hackworth (About Face).....see the pattern?

I also like fiction books and I and loving the Jack Carr's James Reese book series. Jack Carr was was heavily influenced by Vince Flynn who I also loved with his Mitch Rapp series.

Love me some Song of Ice and fire by George R.R. Martin.

Every once and a while I reread "The Resolution for Men" by Alex Kendrick and Stephen Kendrick when I realize I need to freshen up on what being a man is and a good father. It's Christian based and I can't recommend it enough for ALL men to read.

So I picked History because the leadership books could fall under that category Like many of us though, I am all over the place when it comes to books.
