The list of games from 1989-1996 that could qualify for me here is really long, but if I'm picking right now, this is it.
I knew it as "Final Fantasy II" at the time, but I was mind blown with the ...more
A video game created by one person. Gameplay, music, story all by one person. It's a masterpiece. It would be great to experience this personal letter to gamers around the world once more.
Some might think I’d pick Final Fantasy, but I absolutely love replaying the FF games and trying different characters/strategies
Kingdom Hearts 1-3 is such an underrated story and I’d love to ...more
My first foray into the series at ripe age of 10. That first zombie encounter in the gun shop and then later the licker dropping from the ceiling in the police station is an image that will never esc...more
It was between this and Breath of the Wild but nostalgia wins. I still think this is my favorite RPG ever, I was extremely excited for it before it came up and the game delivered 100%. I plan to play ...more
The experience I had with this game surpassed the expectations I had for it. Being an HP fan made it that much better too! Idk that I’ve played any other video game that was based off something non ...more
This is a tricky one because there are so many games that were amazing, especially the first time through. Red dead 1 and 2, Diablo 1 and 2, ghost of tsushima but I'm going to stick with FF7. I wasn't...more
I have played through the complete game close to 6 times. It's fun to play when you know what's going to happen, but it's also fun to see these characters develop and deal with the plot twists, some c...more
Is it a good game, no. But as 8 & 10 year old kids my little brother and I cry laughed while playing this game for the first time. Your offence is booger flicks, burps and farts.
I have thought about this question for a good part of the day. A few different honorable mentions, but this was gaming for me as a kid. The open world was amazing. Being able to switch kongs and find ...more
I love this game to death, I was able - before I had quite bad mental health issues - to be able to wake up, play games.. oh it's time for bed.. and Wind Waker was one of those games I really got into...more
This was a turning point game for me… I just remember getting lost for hours and hours. TOTK almost replicated it but the world being familiar took a small part of the awe away.
The G.O.A.T.
Mostly because I suck at it now.. was much better as a 10-year old with unlimited free time and a Prima official guidebook. But I miss the music and the macabre armageddon storyline.
Love the Zelda series but this is the one I would love to play not knowing anything about it and it is also the last one me and my grandfather played before he died.
This was such a huge experience at an early age in life and early in my video game life that truly it defined me as a turn based RPG fan for the majority of of console playing days. I'd like to have ...more

So many choices, did I want to go NES, SNES(spelled out), PS1, etc? As much fun as playing Mario 3 or Mario World would be, I decided to go with the game that got me back in to playing consistently. L...more
If I could start again, I would choose this game. Avoid spoilers or advice from others and just play it like it’s brand new. Just surprise myself with each quest and each decision I make.
I know this is an odd choice. But man, it started my love of turn-based RPGs and my cousins and I were just giddy every time we met a new race of characters.
This game pulled me into gaming again. After college we got the Wii but it was a party game at best, I never sat down and played anything on my own. This game we got with the Switch and it was magic...more
