Worms Rumble is a 2020 action game developed and published by Team17. As a spin-off of the long-running Worms series, the game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in December 2020 and for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in June 2021. Unlike its predecessors, Worms Rumble is a 2.5D real-time action game. In Rumble, players assume control of an anthropomorphic worm and compete against other players in modes including Death Match, Last Worm Standing and Last Squad Standing. The game features a variety of exotic weapons, such as Sheep Launchers, Plasma Blasters, and Sentry Turrets, which can be used to defeat enemies. Players can also acquire jet packs and grappling hooks to navigate the environment easily. As players progress in the game, they can also gain experience points which can be used to unlock cosmetic items and customise the appearance of their playable avatars.
