Controller or Keyboard and Mouse?

If a game gives you the option of either Keyboard with Mouse or Controller, what do you pick? Why? What got you into that habit?

I started to transition to KBM but just wasn’t having fun. There’s just something about having a controller in your hands.
Controller

in my defense I am 50/50, switch is controller (even tho there is a way to KBM, watch out Splatoon), but everything else is KBM and I am glad I made the switch
Keyboard/Mouse

with 3 consoles it's just no contest
Controller

As a left hander who shares a computer with right handers... keyboard and mouse never worked for me anyway.
Controller

I can play non-shooters either way as I grew up with a controller. On shooters though, if I'm using a controller I might as well hold it with my elbows. I'd do just as well.
Keyboard/Mouse

Still haven't got the hang of KBM.. Only games I'm play KBM are Left for dead/Back4Blood
Controller

Honestly, at this point, it comes down to the game. I still can't drive any vehicles with MnK lol
Controller

I’ve been playing controller for like 6 years and I suck at kbm
Controller

So many years with one make it feel more natural.
Controller

Controller, only because I haven't played a game on PC since I was probably 8.
Controller

More often controller, but I do both
Controller

I've been playing competitive fps games on kbm since 1998! It's ruined my ability to aim on controllers
Keyboard/Mouse

Controller by default. Most PC games I’ll still play with KBM but I’m trying to get in the habit of using controllers for those too. I do prefer KBM for the few FPS games I play
Controller

I grew up on controller and will stay on controller.
Controller

KBM doesn't work as well on console
Controller

Controller ONLY. Have never got into ANY game with keyboard/mouse except for a fun little game I like to call "how many emails can Joel reply to in an hour"
Controller

I'd argue any game game be played with either setup. But a game designed for KBM to me always feels better than a game designed for controller.

Still it does depend on the game.
Keyboard/Mouse

There are games like Rocket League and Binding of Isaac that are more comfortable on controller, but I find myself leaning more and more toward KBM with every new game I pick up.
Keyboard/Mouse

For the rest of my life because there’s nothing you can’t do on computer. And man I can not move a joystick to save my life😂
Keyboard/Mouse

Although I dabbled with KBM back when I played Warcraft/StarCraft, I’ve been on controller for the longest time.

Never really got a “gaming PC” up until 2 years ago, so it’s always been controller for me. Plus, the newer/customizable controllers definitely help.
Controller

Preferably rectangular with A, B, Select, Start and D-pad only
Controller

I used to play racing games & an NHL game with KB&M .. when I was like 7. I'm so wired to use a controller now that going KB&M seems super foreign to me and not something I'd want to spend time learning when I'm decent enough on the sticks.
Controller

Depends 100% on the game: everything I play on my computer is always KB&M except for Overcooked - that's one game I just have to play with a controller.
Keyboard/Mouse

If I was younger I’d try to pick up KBM. I’ve never been good with a keyboard though…my wpm is like 25 lol
Controller

Could never coordinate mouse and keyboard use. Controller feels more comfortable
Controller

Depends on the game for sure but I always like to use KB&M when I can.
Keyboard/Mouse

Always controller except for that semester in college where I played WoW way to much and it caused me to have to take an extra semester
Controller

This just may be the easiest question C3 has ever posted!
I've been using a controller since the NES; and that's what I'll use until I die! I understand the appeal of the mouse for aiming, but controlling movement on a keyboard just doesn't make sense to me!
Controller

Overwatch 2 switched me over to KBM for fps games, but I still would rather have a controller in my hand whenever possible.
Controller

I only use controller for Rocket League and Binding of Isaac. Modern Aim Assist has tempted me to go to controller for FPS games, but KBM is just more fun to me. I just try to avoid close combat because AA is OP close range.

Keyboard/Mouse

It is truly beyond my capacity to play KBM as the kids say. My brain has been wired since the NES controller. It's too late for me.
Controller

For most games I use KBM. But really it depends on the game. Some games, such as Diablo 3, I found are better on a controller. Whereas most MMORPGs like WoW, are better with KBM.
Keyboard/Mouse

It depends on the game. FPS games are better with M/C over a controller, even with the aim assist you get. Action/Adventure games are better on a controller. Most games are more comfortable on a controller so thats the only reason I will pick it.
Controller

Only controller, although I did play about 7,000 games of NBA Live '95 on my first PC with just the keyboard. Penny still averaged 64ppg.

Grew up on controller so I know no different. I’ll even use a controller if I have to use a computer. I like to think of it as it take more skill to play FPS with my thumbs rather than my whole arm. At least that’s what I tell myself.
Controller

But for fall guys I’m controller
Keyboard/Mouse

It depends on the game. This is like asking hammer or screwdriver, which is better? If you have a nail (need to aim and click) a keyboard and mouse. If you have a screw (platformer) a controller is better.
Keyboard/Mouse

FPSs with a controller are terrible.
Keyboard/Mouse

I mean some games have more advantages on keyboard but controller is usually better to play with then keyboard and mouse so controller is what I would pick since I think it works better for more games then keyboard and mouse does
Controller
