The game is confusing. I don't know where to go? What was the point? What was the goal? Are these questions fair or was there enough of a story to follow?
Yeah, but with the long periods of grinding, I think it's easy to lose track of the story if you don't main it for a bit. A this point, I just run around on horseback killing giant trolls over and over... which is actually kind of fun.
A little from column A, a little from column B. The real story is about you, the gamer. Can you learn to grow/mature and allow yourself to be humbled by these beautifully horrific creatures, or give into your rage continue to replace expensive controllers?
A lot of people called this "Adult Legend of Zelda". I mean, the original Legend of Elda was basically, collect triforce, go kill ganon, save princess.
Things have evolved since then and I think ER had enough story but maybe could have been presented in a more accessible way.
I had no idea as I played through people had so many complaints about the story. Maybe it's just because I make a point of reading all the signs I go by (a habit I think I formed playing Banjo Kazooie), but I felt I understood a fair amount of the story before seeing videos diving deeper into it.
For it being a Dark Souls game, yes. There was plenty there that you uncover as you progress or as you search around and find new people to talk to.
If you compare it to another series, then no probably not but its not anything but a Dark Souls game.
Yes, the lore may be deep, but it requires doing homework, which I admit I did. I really liked the game play, but I wish the story was fleshed out in a easy to digest way.
Not enough in game story that is easy to figure out. You have to do a lot of research on your own and play the game more than once which really isn’t that bad because your not going to see everything one time through. Expected from George R.R. Martin. Still on my Rushmore.
