All kidding aside beyond that I've been hooked from Day 1.
It started as Letterboxd and Goodreads but for gaming, or at least in my eyes when I first hopped in.
Joel asked if I could help load games (I was annoying with admin alerts, none of you need to fear how you are by comparison to me) and of course I said yes. I was happy to help sustain this place and help it grow. One thing grew into another over time, casted some events, etc. With all due respect to anyone and everyone I've done activities, streams, etc. with but I had to tag Rey in. I've never met the man but he's always been a great partner in whatever I drag him into, whether with TDG, sending him Enhance examples in the middle of the night as a proof of concept, or saying I want to do a Podcast but we can't tell Joel until we are certain it at least mostly works. Shout out to @cknbromein for laying on that wire with and for us, as he so often continues to do.
I tagged people into this place. Some have come and gone, many have stayed. Some come back in from time to time and I'm glad to see it.
This place is beautiful. I know this place can't remain serene forever but the utter lack of toxicity here truly makes me happy.
My time in those other places is minimal and mostly driven by activities here. I let my kids on here (my son is active weekly of course and has me help him share things, but he is able to access on his own whenever; my daughter is more free-flowing and less on here but still loves the stickers and shirts hahaha).
My last thing, I've told Joel before that I do this as corporate penance, helping to build up an independent to offset my IRL life (which has been very good to me). I've also told Joel repeatedly I'm not a great idea man, and I've been accurately pegged at work as a refiner. Hopefully I can continue to help in that fashion. I'm always smacking myself on the forehead for not thinking of the stuff Joel does and executes on here. You should all be surprised I am able to turn a game console on by comparison.
Glad this place is here, it's great for my wellbeing and mental health, and happy to do whatever I can to support it.
