Realized this list is harder to make than I thought. I have played many hard levels but I will have to go into the memory banks for hard bosses. I will update as I come across or reminded of a difficult boss. These are the first to come to mind.

Elden Ring - Malenia, Blade of Miquella - possibly the hardest boss ever. At least for me. I know on many list I have seen she is top three. Honorable mention to Margit the Fell Omen. Dude is a super hard first boss mostly because you are not really equipped or ready to fight him when you first meet. In all honesty this list could be filled with all Elden Ring bosses.

Remnant 2 - Gwendil: The Unburnt - she just throws fire bombs at you from an elevated position you can’t get too while you are being attacked by zombie like monsters that catch on fire too. Total chaos.

COD MW II - Phillip Graves - Weird this game has a boss fight but when it’s you versus a tank while fighting off unending enemies…so unfair.

Dante’s Inferno - Marc Antony - Dude made me switch from Normal mode to Easy. He just blocks everything I threw at him. Pretty tough for an early boss.

Middle-Earth: Shadows of Mordor - Talons of the Black Hand of Sauron - you’re taking on 5 of the best and highest ranking Orcs all at the same time while fighting minion orcs. Very easy to get over powered. I would say though your Nemesis Orc in the game can be considered a boss. If you lose multiple times to him he just hunts you down and finds you faster and is harder to kill. It can really get out of hand.

It’s been years since I’ve last played Dante Inferno. I can’t remember much of it but I know I completed it. I really love that game. I just now decided to go back into Shadow of Mordor. It’s been on my backlog for years. The last time I remember playing it, I had a hard time defeating many of the Captain Orcs. Kept leveling up. 😂

I started playing Dante's Inferno again. Its a good God of War type game but it really slows down after going through Lust. You can tell the developers really liked making Lust lol. When I played Shadows of Mordor at first I didn't understand the Captain Orc Nemesis concept and I leveled up a lot like you haha. I ended up breezing through the main story until the end.
