Quests are challenges you can do on your own, any time you want. Some are simple questions, others are things you need to do in game, such as time trials.
I think it’s always important to set your own objectives with games.

If the goal is to experience the story, I don’t think the difficulty level matters. Especially if, in adulthood, you don’t have much time. The real-world hours you save may be more valuable than any ending you can unlock or any high score you might save.

If you’re in it for the challenge, I think you owe it to yourself to challenge yourself, yknow?
