My original review is below. I went from 2 to now 4 stars. After a 4 year break I tried it again. I am enjoying it so much more now. Loving so much more about it and able to sort of figure some stuff out. We will see how long it lasts though.

I wanted to like it. Great atmosphere but too hard for my liking.

Splatoon 3
I go this high due to the community on C3. As a standalone game I would go more like 3.

GRIS
This game makes a case for games as art. Very moody game.

Octopath Traveler II
I am not finished at all but this game pulled me in right away and I still want to see what happens. I enjoy the combat and it isn’t too grindy.

Omega Strikers
Didn’t want to go 0 or 1 just because I didn’t put a ton of time into it. It just didn’t pull me in. Not my cup of tea.

Crazy Taxi
Silly game. Didn't play enough to get a full understanding of later on in the game.

Diablo III

Guitar Hero
I have made playlists with these songs in it. This was such a perfect intro to this genre.

Hearthstone
Really liked it when it first came out. Got away and tried to get back in. Game changed enough I couldn’t do it anymore. Initially liked it more than Magic the Gathering.

Resident Evil 4
Hate horror games and loved this one so much. So many play throughs. All on GameCube!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Unpopular opinion here. I tried on the Switch. Just couldn’t get into it. It was mostly the gameplay mechanics that killed it for me. Don’t think I left the first village.

Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance
Plagued by similar issues as Disgaea 4 with too many mechanics. However, being on the Switch was perfection. Writing this review makes me want to jump into the Item World again and see what else I can get into in the post game content.

Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten
Still a great series and this is a great game but not quite 5 star. They tried to do too much and my old brain had a hard time with all the various mechanics.

Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice
I kept playing these and I keep reviewing them! The gameplay gets more refined with each iteration. *chefs kiss*

Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories
Somehow even better than the first. Story is not always strongest part of these games but that formula of gameplay is just so sweet.

Disgaea: Hour of Darkness
Amazing game. I think this is the best series for tactical RPG. Humor, variety, replay-ability. It has it all.

Mortal Kombat II
The absolute best of series in my opinion. I had the GamePro magazine with all Fatalities, etc at the ready while playing. One of the first games I saved my own money to buy.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
My first Dragon Quest game after 8. This was amazing. I saw a review that said it should be played like a bedtime story. Kind of tracks. I put over 120 hours into it. Just so much goodness here.
