Despite having battery life issues, this was a huge step up from the game boy and a great leap for portable devices

Wii
Where to begin, first off this was ground breaking. Motion controls that is fun for the whole family? Sports, dancing, racing, or just some plain Mario adventures this thing had it all. I think my favorite memory though was I missed my brothers birthday while I was in Basic, so what was the first big purchase I made after graduating and having some base liberty a Wii. Did I play it? No! I went right next door to the post office and shipped that bad boy with a note to my brother saying Happy Birthday sorry I missed it and love you. Few weeks later I get a letter with a picture, never in my life had I see. a more excited kid holding a wii then my brother

Game Boy
Got the GB as a hand me down after my cousin got a GBC, fell in love with Pokémon on here, played my first GTA game. It was hours of car trips spent playing and beating games

GameCube
First console I ever bought, what a time to be alive; toadstool tour, double dash, smash, pickmin, sarges war. So much fun with my brother and friends

What is better than reality? One that you make your own. My only experience with this was an evening of drinking and laughter. I had a blast trying to play beat saber and other games

Game Boy Advance
So what’s better than a game boy? An advanced one…. Joking aside this thing was a huge up grade fit better in the hands. Colors were awesome, battery life was decent. Maybe it’s all the memories but it’s 5s. Still have one too, should bust it out

Xbox
There are only a handful of times in my life when I was surprised and speechless. This is one, you will see a common theme in my reviews I am always a Gen behind. 2005 my 16th birthday, the sweet 16, get to go to a Japanese steakhouse (badass I know) well we do dinner cake the whole nine. Then my parents pull out a gift bag. I open it, there is an Xbox controller and Brothers in Arms Road to Hill 30! No way I look in disbelief does this mean? My parents nod I had an XBox waiting for me at the house when we return! Hell yeah I am on cloud 9 my best friend and I stayed up past bed time (yes, parents were strict) to beat that games. Also loved Halo

Nintendo (NES)
Let’s be real this is pure nostalgia, the family got a hand me down when my cousins got a PS1. I was years behind, the 64 was already out, but I enjoyed playing the classics (Mario / Duck Hunt, Kirby) with my siblings and dad

Is it convenient, absolutely. These days convenience is everything. Most games are F2P but they are also P2W. 98% also require an internet connection now so good luck with that. It is definitely frustrating if I want to play a game while on a plane (looking at you Zombie Gunship)
