The humans were wrong for not accepting their fate to the Great Tree and the Wardens of Evolution. Evolution (if you believe it exists) should happen, because that's just how the laws of life work. Every species will fall, so a new one can arise to the top. In this game, the humans (and Dana, not technically a human) refuse to accept that fate, and instead "prove" that they are the ultimate race."
