Ok. Here we go.
1) Doom. Hands down the most influential game for the genre.
2) Borderlands 2. I had a ton of fun with the game and I think it’s the best in the series.
3)Team Fortress 2. The multiplayer FPS I’ve put the most time in. Love this game. It’s just plain fun.
4) GoldenEye. ‘Nuff said!
5)Half-Life 2. Great game, beats out the original for me with story. (And I didn’t cheat my way through it)
6) Doom 2016. This game was stupid fun. Blowing away and Curb stomping demons? What more could you want? Beats out Eternal for me because I found it easier to play. Less reliance on mastering the flow of battle like in Eternal.
7) wolfenstein 3D. Came out before Doom, so it’s one of the Grandaddies of the genre. And like the munchkin card says, ANY game is better when you can kill some Nazis.
8) Quake. Another one of the old ones that helped set the stage for FPSes. And a soundtrack by NIN? *chefs kiss*
9) Left 4 Dead. This game was another one that I had a lot of fun with. And since I’m normally not one to enjoy survival horror type games, that’s saying something. Francis was the best survivor and my number one choice.
10) Duke Nukem 3D. This was a game that I knew if my mom ever found out I played, I’d be in deep shit. And my dad would be too for letting me play. It was our little secret. So it gets a spot on my list for being fun, and having a happy little spot in my heart.
@rey pointed out that Fortnite is not first person, so I have updated my list and replaced it with Left 4 Dead
