Alright, let's expand on the top 3. (Because character limit is a thing and I respect your time).
Starting at my No1 Spot
Majoras Mask.
This is not a sequel. Despite what the asset flip tells you, its not a story based sequel. Get Zelda's name outta here. But why 1? Because its clever. It breaks from the ideas of other zelda games. There is no princess to save, you have the save the world (or the concept of death, depends on if you look at the literal view or the metaphorical one). It also adds to what Link can do. He is not just the weapons given to him during the temple, its the creatures within the mask. He becomes new characters that aid towards each temple. The fact that time is an element. A playable one at that! You need to have other people in mind, their schedules, motivations, items. Its such a rich game. That is how I describe it. Rich and flavorful. I can play this game a hundred times and not get bored.
2) Breath of the Wild.
If there was one drawback to MM, is the fact that it still relies of sequential. Do steps A,B,C,D. in that order. But what does breath of wild do? Breaks the mold of the zelda game. Yes, you need to rescue the princess, but you can do that in whatever order you want. Find all of the shrines first? Go for it. Create clever ways to kill opponents? You are free to do so. Find the best armor and sell it for a house? Hyrule? More like AMERICA! But seriously. This was the best of the games for a while. But why 2? Because like a marvel movie, its only meant to be experienced for a first time. I can go back to it and play again, but once I finished it, I had explored every nook and cranny, I couldn't go back.
3) Age of Calamity
I mean, it makes link kill bokoblins by the thousands in minutes... how cool is that!
