Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Partial Nudity, Strong Language
This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of military personnel who kill zombies in the cities and countryside of England. Players can use shotguns, flamethrowers, axes, and chainsaws to decapitate and dismember waves of attacking zombies. Zombies mostly use "melee" (i.e., close-quartered, hand-to-hand combat) and special attacks (e.g., shrill screams and invisibility) against players, resulting in streaks of blood on the screen. Blood is depicted gushing out of zombies when they are shot or attacked; limbs and chunks of flesh are sometimes scattered throughout the environment. Realistic gunfire, explosions, and slow-motion effects add to the intensity of the violence. During the course of the game, players can encounter a female monster that briefly appears topless with exposed breasts. Strong profanity (e.g., "f*ck" and "sh*t") can be heard in the dialogue.
