Banana Kong is a randomly generated endless auto-run platformer, starring an ape. Running to escape the avalanche of his own pile of banana peels, Banana Kong has to avoid any obstacles or enemies getting in his way, while grabbing all the bananas he can get hold of.
The player can jump, hover for a brief period, and do a quick drop downwards. Collecting bananas fills up the power meter, which once full can be unleashed in a powerful charge forwards, gaining distance and breaking obstacles, or even gaining access to alternate routes such as an underground cave or above the treetops.
Various non-obstacle items in the environment can be interacted with, such as vines to swing on or giant flowers trampolining the player upwards. Special animal friends can even give Kong a ride, giving access to new movement options.
Collected bananas are kept between play sessions and can be traded for upgrades, power-ups or cosmetic items.
