Is this the best zelda game? No.
Is it the worst zelda game? Also no.
Is this the most forgetable game? Possibly. But only because you gave Link a talking sidekick, Why would you do that? Link doesn't need a sidekick. He is fine on his own. It just felt forced. But overall, the dungeon design works well and the abilities of the game are cool.
I'm sure I would like this more if I was a big Zelda fan, but I'm not. It looks really good for a Gameboy Advance game, but I was just kinda bored. It started very slowly, and I didn't play long.
How have I not written a review for this masterpiece?? It's even crazier that as good of a game as this is, it probably doesn't crack my top ten Zelda. I do remember getting it when it first release and somehow it collected dust for a while. Great mechanic, probably one of the best in the Zelda series. Told the story well. Overall, 10/10.
First full play through of a Zelda game & was pretty disappointed with this game, I suspect others might be better. Completely even forgot there was a story half the time or what it was, but it was the assumption of prior knowledge & being punished for a lack of that I disliked most. 1 example would be a stone statue would come to life & move out the way if you shot it in the eye with an arrow, with no info to suggest the statue would come to life at all. So when trying to move it why would anyone think to fire sticks at a stone statue! It makes no sense at all. Or that to defeat 1 of the bosses required bouncing boulders 10 times links size back at him with his shield, when all the previous encounters with giant moving boulders couldn't be deflected. It just took so much out of the enjoyment because it added things that you couldn't solve without the use of a walkthrough which feels like cheating to me
