I’ve mentioned before that I’m not a retro gamer. I don’t go back and replay much. Games I missed on old systems I generally can’t get into, no matter how badly I might want to. This game, however, I had no issues getting sucked into. Truly a masterpiece. Well crafted, beautiful music, wonderful story, fun gameplay. It’s such a good game, definitely a contender for best game in the Zelda franchise. Go play it if you haven’t.
I was having fun until I got trapped into a room and I couldn't get out without restarting the game. That kinda ruined the experience for me and I never had the motivation to open the game again. While I might try another day this is my review for now.
Great game and a perfect sequel to one of the best games ever created. Litter different from the original but Great overall and very challenging. Highly recommend if you haven't played it yet.
THE GREATEST ZELDA GAME OF ALL TIME. The true first Zelda game i ever played. (Had a snes before the nes) this Zelda game is hands down my number 1 out of all the Zelda games (even beating OOT and majoras mask) nothing overly challenging this game still gives you everything you’d want from a Zelda game (dungeons, awesome weapons / abilities , saving Zelda for the 1000000th time and of course one of the best boss fight at the end) this is a game where you can beat fairly quickly but one that’ll make you wanna keep replaying it because of how great the game is.
A Link to the Past is tied with Ocarina of Time as my favorite game of all time. A Link to the Past was the first Zelda game I ever played although I never beat it when I was a small child, since I didn't know where to get the Moon Pearl to be normal link in the dark world. Years later I beat it on the GBA and it has become one of those games I play every other year from start to finish. Highly recommend playing through this at least once.
A true classic and must play for any Zelda fan. Both the huge overworlds and being able to traverse back and forth made this game so replayable and fun. The music was also very good
Okay, changing my review slightly here. I've had chances to play this game again and I still just don't love it. I don't love the viewpoint of these games. 3D Zelda games are what I grew up on so playing these just doesn't feel like Zelda.
I'm going to catch a lot of hate right off the bat, with a bold statement. This was the last good zelda game. Easy! Easy! I'm sorry. But it's true. Innovation of the 64 titles was remarkable. Plauged buy poor controls and camera angles. Beyond that. Not much exciting innovation to Zelda. Until they released Zelda of Warcraft recently and let's be real. It's a great game.. but as much of a Zelda format as the CDI games. If you were alive at this time you'll remember there was a divide in this country. One never seen before. And that divide was Sega VS Snes. People still argue about it. You see. Nintendo needed a action RPG to compete with sega's addition that was supposed to over take LoZ. It was called LandStalker and after link to the past came out there was no sequel for landstalker. This game was a "game" destroying machine. The map was divided into two worlds drastically diffrent even though it was the same out line. The adventure was bright and colorful. The boss fights and dungeons were creative and well designed. Leveling up items was a challenge but fun. Explaining the game play with out the story is the only way to review this for some one who has never played it. I cant, I won't destroy this story for some who hasn't played it. I strongly recommend this game. It is available on SNES , Wii and Switch. And if you want. Play the CDI games. But don't @ me. Cause I warned you. They trash.... welllll excuuuuuuseeee meeeee princess.
This is one of my favorite SNES games. The art/animation for its time I really enjoyed. When it came out in the Switch SNES app, of course I had to play through it again.
Proverbial gun to the head, this is still my #1 LOZ. Much like Mario it is near impossible to rank the series as a whole, but this is the one I say is my favorite. Just edges out the original, Ocarina, Twilight, and BotW. I have easily played through this one the most times. A truly prefect game.
