The Kingdom of Loathing
The Kingdom of Loathing
A fun little browser-based RPG that really isn't little at all. Pick one of 6 Classes (Seal Clubber, Turtle Tamer, Pastamancer, Sauceror, Accordian Thief, and Disco bandit) to defeat the Naught Sorceress to rescue the King! The game is meant to be played over and over. After you rescue the King, you can Ascend, which allows you to start again new. Each time you ascend you can choose a new class, make some of your skills permanent so you begin with them off the bat. There are numerous familiars to collect, lots of end game content (though much of it you need many ascensions to be able to effectively do). You can also donate to them to get Items of the Month, which sometimes unlock even more locations to adventure in.

You get 40 adventures a day to use, but can get more by eating food and drinking booze (drink too much and you become too drunk to adventure, so be careful). As you progress you can get items to give you more adventures per day. The community has always been pretty great. There are clans you can join (I'm in Hyrule, but currently listed as inactive because, well, I was inactive) which you can use to get some items out of the stash to help with your current run.

It really is a fun game, lots to do and find out.

My only complaint is that there is a lot of stuff in the game, it can be overwhelming, even for someone who has been playing for a while. But the wiki helps out a lot. https://kol.coldfront.net/thekolwiki/index.php/Main_Page

Give it a try! Maybe you'll find a new time filler!
