Thank Goodness You Are Here offers a charming and whimsical journey with its quirky characters and lighthearted humor. The game's unique art style and inventive puzzles create an engaging and fun experience, though its simplicity may not appeal to those seeking more depth. Overall, it's a delightful and refreshing adventure that's perfect for a feel-good escape.
From the second I saw this trailer a few months ago I was excited to try this. It didn't disappoint at all. The only bad thing is that it wasn't longer, which I never say about a game. You can finish this in 1 day but that's honestly not a bad thing. It's such an absolute hilarious game to play. The gameplay is very simple. In the game, you control a little tiny yellow weird looking character who ends up in this one town. As you wander about town, you keep bumping into random weird characters who are excited to see you only to give you a quest as they ask you to retrieve something for them. The game has a lot of back and forth but you always pretty much know where you have to go. The controls only consist of jumping and hitting. That's it. You can hit almost anything (garbage can, mailman, a pigeon) and almost every single time, a funny piece of dialogue will pop up. The residents of this town are all off their rockers and completely insane and hilarious. Oh did I mention Matt Berry voices one of the characters? That should be enough for anyone to get it. I didn't know that going into it. This game also has one of the most interesting and fun playable endings I've ever experienced. Give this a chance. If you just want to relax and smile and laugh and play something that looks like a cartoon and is immensely enjoyable, then this game is for you.
