Do you love Hades? Do you also love Ninja Turtles? Then this game is exactly for you.

This is a TMNT roguelike that draws HEAVILY from the gameplay and mechanics of Hades. You start at your sewer lair and venture upward to the rooftops of New York in an attempt to rescue Master Splinter from his captors. If you lose all your health, you get sent back to the sewers to start again. Along the way you'll earn upgrades for that current attempt, as well as materials to purchase permanent upgrades for your character from menus back at your lair. The more you play, the more you unlock, making future runs easier.

The coolest part about the game? MULTIPLAYER! Up to 4 player couch and online co-op so all 4 turtles can venture to save splinter. It feels like old-school arcade Turtles but with the added roguelike elements and MAN it's done well.

This game is an absolute blast. I've played several runs solo and a handful of runs with my 2 kids. The format of a roguelike is pretty brutal in that when you die, you go all the way back to start no matter how far you had gotten in the run. MULTIPLAYER is a bit more forgiving because if even just one player survives to clear the room, all other players respawn with 25% health. This was amazing for my kids because they're still fairly young but they're able to play as long as I stayed alive.

Ok I have to say SOMETHING negative so that I don't sound like a total fanboy right? Fine...
The only "criticisms" I'd have about the game:
- it feels ever so SLIGHTLY slower/clunkier than the insanely polished 11/10 game that is Hades, but that's not surprising, most games are.
- a lot of the graphics during gameplay feel like they want so badly to be darker and gritty while maintaining that Saturday morning cartoon charm, but then you open the menu and everything is bright and big like babies first UI experience. Feels a bit disjointed.

All of that said, I would HEAVILY recommend this one, especially if you have kids that enjoy the Turtles and want a game to play together. For the $29 pricetag on the Switch, it was a no brainer.

If you do, join the chat, we'll get a group together and get some runs goin!

Take some TMNT, add some Hades and a pinch of Diablo and you got Splintered Fate. I played for about 30 minutes and had fun. If this game was on PC I would be all about it. Unfortunately its on mobile so I don't think I will be playing it too much.

UPDATE: I should be working but I am taking a half day today so I am checked out. Started playing again and it really is pretty fun. I have gotten used to the controls and its pretty easier to play with the touch screen. I rarely play mobile games but I have been putting runs in all morning. Still trying to figure out some of the ways to upgrade but its catching on. There is a multiplayer where you can get 4 friends (including yourself) to do a run together. Haven't done it yet but it looks interesting. If you like rougelike games then this will be an awesome on to take on the go.
