"I'm not a big Fortnite player anymore. Which is weird because I generally have a great time when I do play. Both my kids and me have played together but this is the first year we've all had our own setups to play on, and despite the challenge of getting them to get along and follow me, it is a ton of fun. "Ok this story is long winded. But stay with me. Back in the day I was a big Halo: CE player on Xbox. One of my best friends in school played Halo on PC. So I'd go over his house and hang out with him and play on PC. He was friends with this random British dude named KC so from my time playing on his PC I got to know him too. We used to have this inside joke between the three of us where if something cool happened in the game we'd go "man that was YUMMY!" don't know why. Don't know how it started lol. Well, fast forward a couple of years I wasn't really hanging out with that dude much anymore. Halo 2 had come out a few months, maybe a year before so I was deep in the Halo 2 xbox multiplayer. My little brother invites me to a game and he goes "oh yeah I'm apart of this Halo clan now, I'll get you in." They were semi-serious, semi-goofy. They competed but also made video content too. So I had to "try out" by playing against a bunch of them in free for all. I ended up coming second or third or something acceptable. And to celebrate I instinctively went "man that ending was YUMMY!" Dead silence from one dude I was playing against. Then all the sudden I hear "Scot is that you?" And I pause cautiously and go "ummmm yeah why, who's asking" and exploding from the headset I hear "HOLY CRAP DUDE ITS KC! HOW THE HELL HAVE YA BEEN?!" Craziest thing. Randomly bumping into a guy online that lives halfway across the world from me that I knew from years ago. We stayed in contact for years on Halo 2 and Halo 3. But one day I noticed his gametag said "offline for 2 years" and I realized he probably moved on. Hope that dudes doing well whatever he's up to. "

I have a decently equipped PC that out-performs either console but man it sure is nice to sit on a comfy couch with a wireless controller and enjoy a game that I don't have to mess with the settings with because it's already fully optimized for consoles. I might be part of the PC master race but this generation of consoles is really something spectacular. Especially for the price point. For example I paid $150 more for just my GPU than I did either of these full consoles. "

"I participated in the second TDG Halo Infinite League. I thought i was good at the game and turns out I WAS NOT 🤣 the team I got drafted to had 3 really good players on it and I felt so honored to play with MiracleMcgee, Janitor, and Gingerkid. Our team name was Team DABB (Dads Against Blue Balls) with a pair of plasma grenades as our logo 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Practicing and playing with those dudes was super fun, even if we didn't do so hot in the tournament itself. And to piggyback on that, doing Halo crazy customs nights with like 20 people was a riot too. "

"Been back playing Warzone this week. I'm a big WWE fan, so the WWE skin crossover brought me back to warzone after a few month break. I have come to realize that I'm not as bad as I thought I was at this game, but the group I was playing with was way out of my league so I was being put in lobbies that I didn't belong in. Playing with a new group lately and actually having fun in warzone for the first time in years. "
