Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a 2010 platform video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Wii. It was first announced at E3 2009 and is the sequel to 2007's Super Mario Galaxy. It was released worldwide in 2010. The story follows Mario as he pursues the Koopa King, Bowser, into outer space, where he has imprisoned Princess Peach and taken control of the universe using Power Stars and Grand Stars. Mario must travel across various galaxies to recover the Power Stars in order to travel to the center of the universe and rescue Princess Peach.

You would think that because it's a second one in the series, it would be bad. NO! It's amazing. Why? Because if sunshine didn't get a sequel, but galaxy did, then they knew how to do this right. And they did.
Better maps, better puzzles YOSHI!

I loved this game. I felt like they took everything that made Galaxy 1 awesome and just did that again, slightly better. It's incredibly creative and unique to the rest of the Mario series. Galaxy always stands out as something weird and a little different but it works.

One of those games that took what its predecessor did so well and somehow made it even better. It’s a shame that it’s the only Mario 3D platformer that isn’t on the Switch because it just might be the best one.

The best Mario game of all time! It took the great formula from the first and added much more to it. Replaying as Luigi after finishing with Mario added a lot more enjoyment to the game.
