Star Wars: Battlefront II (2005)
Space wizards battle space clones and robots. Its star wars! An arena type game where you start off as either a "clanker" or a clone. Depending on how you do throughout the battle, you can turn into a hero or villain and make your abilities supercharged. This is such a good idea for a game. And executed pretty well. Too bad it was never done again.... right?

Put a lot of hours into this as the levels had a lot of replay ability & most importantly for someone like me who isn't amazing at fps games it had a decent amount of aim assist so you could tailor it to your own skill level very easily. The story was alright & there was a good mix of levels in regards to terrain & even space battles with the ability to raid the other flagship which was cool. Had the ability to play as characters from the franchise but I was just happy as a grunt blasting mofo's!

Exactly how you do a perfect sequel. Keep what made the original great, and add to it rather than change it.

The addition of the playable heroes was awesome, but they were not forced and you could still play without them for a similar challenge level.

They crushed it again with the amount of content. So many great maps, on many planets, and a huge list of the iconic heroes with some additional ones that were fun to play.

Also added one additional special class for each faction which were all very fun to play, and space battles!

Not playable online unfortunately, but local co op or solo galactic conquest mode is where BF2 shines the brightest. Conquering the planets and building your army/fleet while using the bonuses was such a fun mode, and perhaps every battlefront fan's favorite mode.

The 501st campaign was also very well done with cutscenes and narration and unique battles/encounters.

The addition of the sprint ability was welcome as well to get around the maps quicker.

I can't really thing of anything negative to say about this one. An all time great.

I've had years of fun playing through iconic Star Wars locations and battles. It brings me great joy now that my son is also experiencing this fabulous game and having just as much fun!

This game was groundbreaking in its Galactic Conquest mode. Playing through multiple eras on either side, in space, with heroes and villains, and in key locations still makes this game one of the few that manage to capture the magic and wonder that I felt when watching 'A New Hope' for the first time with my dad.

Watch those wrist rockets!
Excellent game for anybody who likes Star Wars and still holds up to this day. Playable heroes, movie clips, content from Episode 3 just as it released on DVD. Probably in my top 10 fave games.
