Star Soldier

Star Soldier is a shoot 'em up video game developed and published by Hudson Soft for the Nintendo Entertainment System and the MSX. The player pilots the starship "Caesar", travelling through space stations occupied by powerful supercomputers known as "Starbrains" who threaten the galactic empire. Star Soldier greatly resembles the earlier arcade game Star Force.

I honestly just don't see the appeal of these auto-scrolling shooters! I found this one slightly less awful than S.C.A.T., but still frustrating to play. Games like these require so much trial and error, the constant power-ups are essential (and you're screwed if you miss them), and you die way too easily. I simply don't have the patience for these kinds of games, and I just don't find them to be any fun whatsoever.
