I'm fully aware games like this aren't for everyone, and that makes me angry. There really isn't anything "video game-y" with this game. The indie devs here (Silver Lining Studio) probably just had an idea, wanted to tell a touching story, and used a video game to do that. The painting mechanic and the puzzles and the point-and-click aspect of this game aren't even what it's about. It's about taking you on a journey and telling a story and having you feel something during the process. I finished this game in an hour and just loved it. It was free on Epic and looked interested. Maybe I'm old, I dunno. Maybe it's because I'm 44. But I just want to FEEL something when I play games now. Very few big budget games can do that (exceptions being Last of Us 2 and God of War...) but indies, man...indies do that. Indies are so important to games right now. I love the chances they take. I love the music they use. I love the art they go with. I just love it. This is a beautiful, cozy AF, touching game. If that's your thing, give this a try.
