Incredibly immersive atmosphere, spectacular story, great graphics and sound design. I bought the game on release date and *still* haven't beaten it because I keep getting distracted. It's a shame they stopped really updating the online mode.
This game is so good I don't even know where to start. I never really played the multiplayer but the story was one of the best game stories I've ever played. Truly an a experience I wish I could play for the first time again.
No game has ever got me so invested in the story as this one. The game was truly a movie that I enjoyed every second of. I wish I could play it again for the first time.
Best story every. RockStar did them wrong with Red Dead Online. Only problem with online was there would 32 players on a server and you would occasionally pass some one. Most were in Valentine which normally ended in a bloodbath. Still the G.O.A.T.
This game has one of the worst online modes I have ever experienced, with tiny lobbies and a lack of ways to advance economically online. It feels like Rock Star gave up when trying to make their online play as attractive as other online games like the GTA franchise. That being said, this game also happens to have the best story mode of any game I've ever played. It felt like I was watching a movie while having control over the actions of the main character, reminiscent of the old walking dead storyline games while also implementing a free roam, sandbox-style feel to the story when you don't want to rush through missions. You can explore side quests, and ride through several mid-century biomes, and the attention to detail when designing the beautiful landscape is truly unparalleled. It is a beautiful gaming experience.
This game makes you cry, laugh, and every other emotion while riding with the Van Der Linde Gang. The story is very compelling, and it stuck in my mind for days after completing the game. Easily 100+ hours if you try to do everything. Saddle up, you're in for a ride, Partner.
The game started slow to me, but the plot line quickly sucked me in. I loved the option of being either a good guy or bad guy. Geting to play as John Marston and learn more about him then you did in the first one was a definite plus. If I had to complain about anything, it was not being able to save Lenny :(
If you want a beautiful story to play thei this is your game. Want to go fishing? Want to go hunting? Want to play online with friends? This is your game. Want to take on everyone in the lobby? Good luck lol This game hold a spot in my memories and heart. I ended ordering my copy at my wedding destination in California. Stayed up all night the night before my wedding playing to relax my nerves. Took turns with my friends/groomsmen playing.
This is a game of the year type of game. The story draws you in and the world keeps you interested. There is so much to do and see in this game. Easily a 100+ hour worthy game.
Along with GTA V, this is easily one of my favorite and top games! An immersive storyline paired with familiar Rockstar mechanics and gameplay, I was sad to see the story end. As with GTA, there is always more to do besides the main story to keep gameplay fresh.
This is a pretty fantastic game. Basically it puts you back in the time of the wild west, and you go around doing stereotypical wild west things, like robbing trains, shooting people, playing poker, and getting into trouble in frontier towns.
My complaints: First off, I hate games where they're like, "DRIVE A HORSE." You drive a horse, if it's so important, and just let me sit on it. Take me to where I want to go, don't make me drive a horse. It's not just fast-travel, because I don't fast-travel myself off a cliff on an idiot horse, or get stuck running into a tree when I'm trying to make a sharp turn. I ended up walking a lot, and apparently your horse also stores your gear, and you have to feed your horse based on magic attributes, and find better horses - look - if I wanted to play Stardew Valley I would play Stardew Valley. Horse junk should be optional.
Secondly, for the love of god just give me a straightforward weapons system. Polishing my guns? Customization where some things are visual-only and some aren't but you're just gonna be vague about it while showing me chuck it around in my hands? Just tell me what the stats are on the thing or tell me nothing and let me get back to playing. My brother spent like 250 hours customizing his guns and now he's basically homeless in real life, so there's what I think of the weapons system.
All in all, a good game, if a bit gloomy, but I can excuse it for this game because the old west was a bit gloomy, so I get it.
Loved this game. Open world games are my favorite style of games. The decision to follow the storyline or do something off the beaten path is one of my favorite things in gaming. There is almost too much to do, but it’s a lot of fun
Such a great story and just so much to do. I would lose track of time so easily in that game. I would think I was only playing for 30minutes, but it was really 2 hours.
