Getting a little heavy here, but:

Home wasn't great growing up. Being able to immerse myself in a game helped to not have to listen to or pay attention to it, and certainly kept me out of trouble. After leaving home (and ever since), it's just always been a place of comfort for over 30 years.
Quest #100: Why do you game?

I feel you. I gamed as a kid just because (late 80s early 90s) and I was off and on playing after N64. Picked it up a little more when my ex and I decided it was best to divorce. Gaming helped clear my mind and this community has helped a whole lot. I love it here. Many props to @joel for knowing there is a need for this kind of social media and providing it.

Welcome to C3, and thanks for getting heavy! Play therapy can involve video games.
