Pokémon Platinum Version is a 2008 role-playing video game developed by Game Freak, published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Nintendo DS handheld game console. It is an enhanced version of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and is part of the fourth generation of the Pokémon video game series. It was released in Japan on September 13, 2008, and later in North America, Australia, and Europe in 2009. The developers made Platinum with the intent of making it a stronger version of Diamond and Pearl, which they described as the "ultimate" Pokémon titles.

This is the Pokemon game I probably put the most amount of time and replays into. Diamond and Pearl were excellent games, and Platinum was even better. Loved being able to get Girantina in game. Great Pokemon game, and the definite choice to pick if you’re going back to this gen to play for the first time.

This was my first ever experience with a video game and it instantly got me hooked on the series. The story was amazing and mixed with the game play mechanics, I was instantly hooked.

This was the first game I bought for my DS when I got it a few years ago. Loved every minute of it. I don’t like these games as much as the first 3 generations, but the improving graphics make gameplay more fun!
