Pokémon Crystal Version is a 2000 role-playing video game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Color. It is the improved version of Pokémon Gold and Silver, and it is the final game of the second generation of the Pokémon video game series. It is the final Pokémon game to be released for the Game Boy Color system. It was released in Japan on December 14, 2000, and was released internationally in 2001.

Best pokemon game ever. Best generation besides the original one. This is where Pokemon peaked. After this, its all downhill. The legendary pokemon were/are better than the dumb elemental birds, its all about elemental dogs. Overall, my favorite one because it looked like my character was actually ready for an adventure instead of aa ten year old going to the wildernbess

This game is arguably the most quintessential Pokemon game. Or at least, if you're talking about the Pokemon craze of the 90s and early 2000s. As stated by the creators themselves, the second generation of these wildly beloved JRPGs are the closest we have to Satoshi Tajiri's original concepts for the games.

There is not much to be said about this game's story, as the early Pokemon games were light on linear narrative as it is. This increases the game's ability to let the player create their own unique tale; the time you almost caught the wandering Legendary Beast, or how many times your team wiped to that dang Miltank. From shiny hunting to the daily tasks, calls, and connectivity with the N64 game Stadium 2, its no wonder that multiple older Pokemon fans have years-long playthroughs of this game.

This game is perfect imo. As big a fan as I am of Gold/Silver, this one is a compilation of all the good things from those titles with a shiny new coat of paint and some added other features.

The crystal-clear gem of the Pokémon series. Dive into the Johto region with a sense of nostalgia that's as refreshing as a cold glass of water. Great starters and overall, one of the best in the series.

First game I played on GBC, it’s Pokémon that’s really all that needs to be said. I know there is a lot of people who don’t like the repetitive feel but I thought it was a great game with a new Gen of Pokémon

This is still my all time favorite Pokemon game. Yes, the level curve is extremely awkward and the Johto portion of gen 2 is relatively short, but Johto is still a fun region to explore. There isn't a single gen 2 Pokemon design that I don't like, and it has the best starters in the series (including my all time favorite Pokemon, Cyndaquil.)

I love Legendary Pokémon. So anytime the game makes it easy to acquire one, that’s a win for me! Gen 1 is hands down my favorite, but how can you not love Typhlosion! Great game! You literally cannot go wrong with the first three Gens in Pokémon.
