Usually, not my style of game. However, this game has been a lot of fun to play. Its a detective game with a horror skin on it. I enjoy going alone, but its a ton of fun with other people!
Phasmophobia is a fun horror game to play with friends. Creepy atmosphere and proximity chat is fun to mess with. The only issue is that this game is better to play with friends, not alone.
any game can be fun when playing with friends but whether you are alone or in a group this game really stands out as an incredibly fun game to play. it started off being made by just one guy and since they've managed to continue to grow and gain more and more fans with more and more incredible updates that just make the game all that more fun to play.
Ghost hunting with friends - a fun concept that took-off with the launch of Phasmo. Unfortunately, recent updates have been so clumsy. First, with a visual update of the menus, adding obtuse features. Then, with unnecessary increased complexity. A studio that no longer seems to be playtesting and thinking critically. The bigger this studio gets, the worse Phasmo becomes.
This game is best played with friends. The developers continue to pour their blood sweat and tears and provide the community with meaningful updates. For those that don't know, this is a ghost hunting game. You and up to three friends go into a haunted dwelling and use ghost hunting tools (eg EMF meters, radios, video camers) and try to determine what kind of ghost is causing the disturbance. The challenge occurs when you take too long and the ghost gets angry and tries to kill you.
With each difficulty level, new layers unfold creating more challenges. It's a wonderful risk/reward mechanic, which gives you money for successfully determining the type of ghost. The risk comes in if the ghost kills you; as a result you lose all the equipment you brought to the hunt.
If that wasn't enough, it can be played in VR too... I think the only thing I'd want at this point is different death animations. Otherwise, it's still scary no matter how many times I play.
I’ve only played this game twice. In a dark basement at 3 in the morning. It was amazing! I have heard it’s much better playing with friends so I look forward to trying that out at some point!
