Nier
Nier is one of those games that completely slipped my radar when it first came out in 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. However, I finally played the remastered version, confusingly called, NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139. This version came out last year for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC and included updated graphics, fighting mechanics, and a brand new ending.

A common theme with Nier games is that there are multiple ending. The first time you complete a ending a lot of questions come up, but by completing various endings more and more of story is fleshed out and connected in a way that is very unique.

Gameplay is hack and slash and puzzle solving. Although not extremely difficult, the NPCs, atmosphere, and soundtrack (which won The Game Awards for Best Score and Music 2021) really make this a game you should check out if you are into fantasy/RPG games.
