Enjoy.

First time ever playing a Mega Man game (that I can recall). Only was able to beat one boss before running out of lives. Perhaps I should have checked a guide to see if there was a particular order I should pick stages.
I can see the appeal of the series even if it's not really my kind of game.
I can remember renting this one from Blockbuster and being amazed. While I do think 3 is a little better, the controls, level design, boss fights, and the music are all among the best of any NES game. I'd rate the music the absolute best from the NES. This game made us all fall in love with Mega Man.
Psychostick has a bit where they discuss whether MM2 or MM3 is the better game. I'm firmly on the side of 2 for this one. This was my first Mega Man game and I vividly remember being in Toys R Us, convincing my mom to buy me this over the Simpsons vs. the Space Mutants. I still feel like I made the right choice to this day.
The robot masters are iconic, the music is amazing, and the gameplay is perfect.
The peak of the original series. 1 just feels like the controls are off and after this some of the villains feel repetitive or forced. The perfect balance of getting the gameplay function right with great levels, bosses, and skills before it starts to feel like a chore.
Also it seems crazy to me that the artwork on the sequel is still this. Legendary.
