This is one of the very few mobile games I've ever truly enjoyed. The gameplay loop is endlessly fun, the presentation is outstanding, and I never felt like I needed to spend any actual money to get cards that I wanted.
I play this daily. I don’t play anything daily. It’s lots of fun. Rng!!! Get your favorite marvel characters and build a deck playing mostly real people ranking up the ladder till you get to infinite 100. Lots of decks to build as you unlock more cards with level ups and battle passes. It’s freemium :)
Welp. I’m in love. Marvel Snap is a well-balanced game that is fun and delightful, all for free. It’s not too grindy, as you can still win with the lower pool cards, but conquest will be tougher.
Overall though, Snap has an incredible onboarding experience that helps players of any background understand the concept of deck fighters and learn the more complex, strategic side of things before jumping into PVP. Its smooth, mobile design is mostly accessible, (ex.any card or location can be clicked to see larger text). Snap is unique in that it contains something for different player types: collector, competitive, and casual.
The game has enough there to be fun but has some Play 2 Win elements. Most of the content that you pay for would be cosmetic but you do get access to some meta-defining cards earlier through micro-transactions.
Still, if you enjoy Marvel, there is plenty here: from shout-outs to lesser known characters to amazing variant artwork to collect.
Alright i downloaded this game after seeing so many posts and I’m liking it so far. It’s a quicker more fun version of Hearthstone. Games are quick and looks like you don’t need to spend money to stay competitive at the moment. I’ll keep playing.
Sorry everyone. I had to change my rating. As with most mobile games, I got bored. I play a match about once every few weeks now.
The game is an easy way to kill time. Matches are short. There's still elements to it, but the randomness of the locations means it's just a test of adaptation. I would recommend. My wife who hasn't seen me for a week while I climbed to infinite wouldn't though
A fun and addictive game and I do recommend playing it. However, the few elements I have issues with keep it from being a 5 star game.
I absolutely despise the ability to retreat. It disproportionately hurts the person who was winning (only getting half the cubes of what they would have got) while reducing the number of cubes lost by the one who retreats.
The other complaint I have is there is no upgrading of cards. The upgrading ability in the game is strictly aesthetic. The cards look better and flashy, but there is no difference between a base level card and a fully (infinite) upgraded card when it comes to game play. There should be a way to upgrade the card's ability or power or lower its cost. Imaging the drive to upgrade if the cost dropped by 1 (min. 1) when you reach infinite level. Make upgrading a little more difficult than it is now and you would add a powerful motivation to work at the game and upgrade.
Can't stop playing it. Just when a meta is found out & you run with it, the whole game changes. Adding new strats, new cards, new locations. Still hasn't gotten stale, still climbing the ranks.
Not really into card games but this one has me hooked! I love the quick games so you can get in a quick game or two when you have downtime and the visuals and gameplay are stunning for a mobile game.
Currently my favorite mobile game. This game is not pay to win like other mobile games. You upgrade your cards, but they don’t improve the card, they grant you cosmetics. You can pay for the pass each month, but it really doesn’t grant you a huge advantage. The card that you unlock in the pass will come out in a later season. So it’s really not a big deal
I don't know what it is about games like Marvel Snap, but I am highly addicted. Hearthstone and a NFT game I played called God's Unchained take too long for some games, but these are so fast.
The teeny tiny amount of dopamine I get from winning a game, or having a strategy pay off just feels too good.
Okay, this game is a lot more fun than I expected it to be. Games are fast, 6 turns each, and i describe it as playing on 3 boards at once, and constantly has you thinking. I highly recommend this free download.
