Mario Bros. is a 1983 arcade game developed and published for arcades by Nintendo. It was designed by Shigeru Miyamoto and Gunpei Yokoi, Nintendo's chief engineer. Italian twin brother plumbers Mario and Luigi exterminate creatures emerging from the sewers by knocking them upside-down and kicking them away. The Famicom/Nintendo Entertainment System version is the first game produced by Intelligent Systems. It is part of the Mario franchise, but originally began as a spin-off from the Donkey Kong series.

You are a plumber and you get rid of turtules coming out of pipes. Instead of being a good plumber and fixing the issue, you focus on just stomping out turtles and bill the client by the hour, because that is how you survive in this market

A decent game that quickly gets tiresome. I never played the arcade version, only the version included in SMB3 and SM All-Stars.
However, the version on Nintendo Switch Online is garbage!

My main memory of the original Mario gamea is the noise made when Mario jumped. Something about that sound is iconic.

The first Mario game with Mario in the title. This game took levels to a different place. Being a spin off of Donkey Kong, it takes many of the ideas from that game and tweaks them in a good way. Not nearly as iconic as Donkey Kong or Super Mario Bros, still an important part of the history of this series.
