Good game, I just got tired of dealing with the toxicity, and I could never get past Gold. But this game has a lot of depth to it as a 5v5 MOBA, and it's what got me into esports and esports fandom.
Stay far away from this game. Even when the game is fun the online community absolutely ruins it. I’ve never seen and read more toxic things than i have in these lobbies. It’s just not enjoyable with how nasty people get which is unfortunate bc there’s so much to this game and is fun.
League of Legends is a typical moba game. In the game, each player needs to choose a champ to form a 5v5 against the opponent. In the end, players need to destroy the defense towers to win. There are neutral resources in the game, players can kill them to get positive buffs to enhance combat effectiveness. I give this game 5 stars, because this game has existed for more than 10 years and still has popularity, which other games cannot do. On the other hand, the game has some of the hottest competitions in the world to keep it going.
The game that introduced me to esports. Lots of fun, room to improve, and ways and modes to have fun in. A game that above all others bred and allowed a toxic community unfortunately. The only reason I give it a 4 instead of 5.
like most people, I have a love-hate relationship with the game. I've been playing since season 1 so it definitely holds a special place in my heart. it's a lot more enjoyable these days since I play once in a blue moon and I also don't take it seriously anymore but regardless, it still makes me want to cry sometimes. I will continue playing AP cho mid and running it down top as teemo though. thanks for coming to my tedtalk.
The most toxic love-hate relationship a person can have with a game. When it is played as intended (that is, 5v5 both teams in respective comms) I think there are very few gaming moments that meet a well-earned victory in a League game. Games like these are far and few between though, as most players end up in solo queue or normal queues, and that is where the league gods test your mental fortitude as you suffer through interesting community members.
If you play with people you know, and they are patient, the game can be a great time. But the community at large in this game is so incredibly toxic, it is unenjoyable unless it's a team of people you know. The skill ceiling is high! This is very much a team game. And when the team is not moving together, the game is near impossible
