Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe

This is a side-scrolling platformer game in which players assume the role of Kirby, a small spherical character that must help an alien recover its broken spaceship. As players traverse through each level, they use “cartoony” weapons (e.g., swords, spears, fire/ice/electricity attacks) to battle robots, dragons, and animal-like creatures. Damage is indicated by impact sounds, colorful light effects, and enemies that disappear when defeated. In one mini-game, players assume a third-person perspective to fire pellet guns at an oversized tank and passing blimps—the sequence is accompanied by constant projectile fire and realistic explosions. A remake for the Nintendo Switch, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, is set for release on February 24, 2023.

Honestly, I feel like I could leave one review and it would apply to every Kirby game. I'll say I thought this one was more challenging than most Kirby games. The upgrades they made to this game from the Wii are noticable and positive. Highly recommend for yourself and especially if you have young ones.
