Kingdom Hearts III is a 2019 action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows and Nintendo Switch. It is the twelfth installment in the Kingdom Hearts series, and serves as a conclusion of the "Dark Seeker Saga" story arc that began with the original game. Set after the events of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, returning protagonist Sora is joined by Donald Duck, Goofy, King Mickey and Riku in their search for seven guardians of light as they attempt to thwart Xehanort's plan to bring about a second Keyblade War. Their journey has them cross paths with characters and visit worlds based on different Disney and Pixar intellectual properties.

Ok, this is easy to follow.
After the events of the last games where sora's memories nmade into terra actions and they fused and became one. With the help of other friends, Sora is now ready to fight Xehanort (the overall bad guy of the series). By travelling to different kingdoms , Sora defeats heartless creatures with his magic sword and magic. Similar combat to the new FF games.

This all happens within disney properties, so mickey is here and donald and goofy are integral parts to the story....

Good; not great.
I feel that this game is what you get when you have a great franchise and just try to pump out another one. Without the Disney licenses or the great reputation of the previous this would have flopped badly.

This game man. I ordered the special collection edition of this game because i was so excited for it. I even got it a day before release (i think square enix goofed).

The final story in the xehanort saga was such a disappointing experience. The gameplay even on the highest difficulty felt very underwhelming because the new gimmicks in the game (amusement rides are super OP and wielding 3 keyblades that change forms and have crazy power) just made the combat way too easy. Only a few fights were truly challenging and the majority of them only came bc of DLC (which was a huge waste of money).

The story had its moments throughout the game but towards the end it got very dry and disappointing. How it ended left more questions than what we started with. Kairi and Lea (axel) train all this time and are completely worthless in the end. We finally get the big reunion of everyone and it gets wiped immediately.

If it wasn’t for the game being absolutely gorgeous I’d probably make this a 1.5 star game. The secret boss made up for the disappointing combat as it was very challenging and such a fun fight.
