Hot Wheels Unleashed is a 2021 racing video game developed and published by Milestone based on Mattel's Hot Wheels toyline. The game was released on September 30, 2021 for the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows. Hot Wheels Unleashed is a racing game played from a third-person perspective. In the game, the player assumes control of vehicles from the Hot Wheels franchise, and raced against other opponents in miniature tracks set in various everyday locations and environments such garage, kitchen and bedroom. The vehicles featured in the game can be extensively customized. 66 different cars would be available at launch.[2] The game also features a career mode, a time trial, and a track editor.[3][4] The game supports up to 12 players in an online session, though players can also compete with another player in a local split-screen multiplayer mode.

At first I thought this was going to be a mario kart type game of whacky and zany races. No, it is the most difficult racing game out there. There is no story but there is a challenge board. The fun part is collecting the different cars and modifying them to their best performance.

The car models are awesome. The game is a lot of fun, but the campaign becomes a bit of a drag. I only played a little bit of multiplayer, and it's kinda your standard racing fun. I'd probably rate this a 3/5 but I'm a massive Hot Wheels fan from my earliest days.

Started playing this game and I’m really enjoying it. Just came out on Game Pass so hopefully this can get tied into a challenge. I find the controls pretty responsive so far. Four stars for the camera when you car tumbles. I got I little qweezy with the cane tumbling with my car. Having fun and will continue to try this game out. Maybe a good time trial quest since it’s on all platforms and free on Xbox and it looks like on PS as well.

Bought this for the kids when it came out because of how much we played with hot wheels tracks. The driving is ok, it's pretty plain though and got old after a bit. Would love to have the time to build tracks on it, probably would appreciate it more if I was playing on something other than the Switch.

Played for a for a couple of days. Lots of really cool details and the kids love to be able to drive some of the hot wheel cars we actually have. Gameplay does get repetitive but overall it's fun.

This game is free with PlayStation Plus Essentials. I have to tell you this game is clean. I love the detail they put into it and it is just fun to race. As a loving Switch owner I can't imagine the detail of the toys, tracks, and surroundings translates but it looks amazing on the PS5.
