HELP! Tell me more about seasons...

It is currently Season 8, AKA "The OCHO". It ends on 2024-06-30.

Season 9, AKA "Terrible twos" starts on 2024-07-01.

Channel 3's heart beats in a quarterly rhythm. Every 3 calendar months, a new Season starts.

Seasons allow the site to be more gamified, with Season XP leaders, seasonal themes, quests, and more. But mostly it's just fun.

Seasons follow actual seasons (or fiscal quarters if you're into BUSINESS!). So January 1 - April 1, April 1 - July 1, July 1 - October 1, and October 1 - January 1. Repeat FOR-EV-ER.

When a Season ends:

Your Season XP is reset to 0, but your lifetime XP continues on, completely unchanged.
Your TICKETS will be reset. So cash them in at the Prize Counter before the Season ends or they are GONE FOREVER.
Historically the site goes down at midnight eastern time and any attempts to access will be redirected to a wacky cutscene. Panic ensues.
The next day, usually around noon, the site will come back up. HOPEFULLY. Also hopefully, there will be a couple new features for you to enjoy.
The Prize Counter will largely reset at the start of a new Season.
All of the above combined leads to the best sort of pandemonium, engagement, and new activity. We absolutely adore it. Tell your friends.
