Truly a generational game which got me starting in not only gaming but first person shooters. Will forever be on top of my list of best games of all time.
Quite possibly my favorite game of all time. It’s an instant classic in terms of music, visual style, and gameplay. With a thrilling story that get the adrenaline pumping like 99 cent gas, there’s never a dull moment in Halo 3. When you’re playing this it truly feels like One Final Effort to save humanity. Between the Covenant, the Elites, the Flood, the UNSC, and the Forerunner drones, there are many factions to fight against and team up with, never leaving you with a feeling of repetition. Having player 1 be Master Chief and player 2 be the Arbiter, this game is the best example of Campaign Co-op to date. The multiplayer custom games are always a blast. One mode I like to play with my family is Rocketball, because everyone is running around with aptly named “Noob-Tubes” blasting each other away while trying to get our hands on the Oddball. And while hosting an old school Xbox 360 LAN party with my friends, we probably had the most intense game of Capture the Flag I’ve ever played. It was the most fun I’d had in a long, long time. If I could give this game 6 stars, I would.
I couldn't give it anything other than 5 stars. I think by hours, this is probably by far my most played game. It had super fun multiplayer. I knew so many people playing it. I remember hosting regular LAN parties, which for a kid that didn't have more than a just the one friend before high school, was peak childhood.
Zombies, shotty snipers, rumble, original SWAT. The list of fun modes goes on. The maps made the game fast but there were enough differences to keep them engaging.
None of that even touches the campaign. By far my favorite story of the games. So satisfying to end the Prophet...
This is my number one favourite game of all time. The story mode was top notch and the Multiplayer was amazing. Loved having LAN parties with my friends.
