I’ve tried it and obviously it’s like other games we’ve played. But it’s just a fun game to enjoy and it’s so relaxing chilling cool fun and awesome game to play. I just love that they changed it up form different Mario games and went with this game.
This and Tetris were the only games my mom would play with us as kids. My dad thought the NES was stupid so he never touched it. My mom would beat us all the time (at the game, not with sticks) which made me get really good at Dr. Mario. I can now definitely kick her ass. What I'm saying is I'm very good at Dr. Mario and Tetris now.
Very Tetris like, but had an different element. I spent a lot of time playing this game with my dad. We would challenge each other, but then we could also see how far we could make it on certain settings to challenge each other that way too. This was the beginning of the end for him, I started to get pretty good, and could take him a lot of the time. I also had more time to dedicate to it.
The only thing that made the game tough was the controls felt glitchy at times. Sometimes it was send the pill way to far, or not move. Downfall of the D-Pad on the SNES I suppose. That's not on the game though
I LOVE THIS GAME. I am not good at that many video games. I am pretty decent at @mariokart and @rocketleague. But I am actually good at this game. I have met a few people in my life who can compete with me, but I don't think I've ever met anyone who could beat me more than I would beat them. I challenge anyone to this game.
So you know how the Tetris champions can move the pieces super-fast and it's pretty unreal? My favorite thing about Dr. Mario is that the pieces (pills, 2 colors) are simpler than the tetris pieces, in terms of how they need to be manipulated, which lets you go faster, which makes it seem more like you're good at it even though it's just a simplification. I used to play this with my dad and sometimes it seemed like we were both possessed by the spirit of old man Harada himself.
I haven't played this in like, 20 years, but I assume it aged well since it had simple, arcade-style mechanics.
Seemingly being Tetris with a twist, this game provided hours of fun for any who picked it up. The head to head mode was very enjoyable, and in my opinion better than other games of this particular genre.
I have had many a person throw down a controller and call it quits when facing me in this game. I don't play a lot of video games, but when I do, I prefer it to be Dr. Mario!
