Donkey Kong Country
Donkey Kong Country
I never had a SNES (that’s S.N.E.S. To be clear) so I’ve only played this on virtual consoles. And I’ve never completed it. That being said, this game is a lot of fun. And has a great soundtrack. So many iconic things came out of this game, definitely a classic that deserves the love it gets.

Donkey Kong Country
Extremely Fun with loads of content to get through, and the graphics really pushed to the limits of what the SNES was capable of making this masterpiece of a game. I feel like everyone should atleast beat the game (which on average will get you a 40% completion score) and if you enjoyed it then you can try to get the 101%

Donkey Kong Country
is there a better intro to a video game than this? donkey kong country is one of the best games ever made. a timeless classic that never gets old. a game that takes alot of time and effort to actually 100% it. An era where the internet wasnt a thing and you just grinded time to figure everything out in this game. what a great game

Donkey Kong Country
7/10. A lot more basic game compared to battle royal and first person shooter games. There are several worlds and paths so there is a lot more variety when playing different worlds.

If you wanted to show someone how great the SNES was compared to the NES, you'd show them Donkey Kong Country. It seemed to be 1,000x better than any NES game. Excellent graphics, sound, and level design. One of the very best games on the SNES.

Donkey Kong Country
One of the few games I have played and beaten multiple times. Especially on SNES. Only problem is that Diddy Kong was way better than Donkey Kong. All the levels were fresh and challenging. I never found myself thinking I was just repeating an already beat level. Probably the second best platformer franchise behind Mario. I suggest if you have a Switch, order the SNES controller and play this game. You will be tripping on nostalgia.

Donkey Kong Country
One of the top SNES titles and a great game that rejuvenated a classic franchise. Excellent replayability and a joy to play for fans of 2D platformers.

Donkey Kong Country
Loved this game. I remember spending countless hours in my grandparents' basement playing it. They had the SNES, but our family only had the NES at the time.

Donkey Kong Country
Great variation on the linear Super Mario design, lots of in-level secrets, many good times.

Donkey Kong Country
At the time, nothing beat DKC in the visual department. Really stretched the SNES and took it to the next level.

Donkey Kong Country
Pure Classic game. When we first got the Switch and the membership. This was the first game my daughter and I played together. Still fun now as it was when I was a kid.

Donkey Kong Country
I don't remember a bunch about this game. I do remember that it's one of the first games where I started to pay attention to things outside of the states objective. Collecting the golden letters and animals along the way was my first real "side quest"

Donkey Kong Country
Donkey Kong is one of my all time favorite video game characters, I mean, he collects Nanners, what not to like about him. Also, the music in this game is fire

Donkey Kong Country
Graphics were absolutely outstanding when this was released. This is a gem of a game and still holds up fairly well. For me it was the first unforgiving platformer before games like Meat Boy; Mario and Sonic are very forgiving by comparison. Levels are fun, challenging and it usually feels fair when you screw up.

This was my favorite SNES platformer, and my brother and I spent hundreds of hours beating this game an exploring the secrets. In Super Mario World, you could ride Yoshi. In Donkey Kong Country, you could ride like, 9 different animals, each with different abilities. The enemies were diverse, the game mechanics (shooting yourself from barrel to barrel, or from barrel into a secret chamber) were awesome, it was good natured, banana-collecting fun, and the soundtrack is still awesome. I could leave 'Aquatic Ambience' playing all day while I work. OH WAIT I ALREADY AM DOING THAT

Donkey Kong Country
Look... I like Donkey Kong 1-3 as much as the next person. Great arcade games. Not too much to build on. But still super solid. Rare changed that perspective. I think the thing with DKC is no one saw it coming. It was a trailblazing super nintendo game that played faster than anything sega had out and looked cleaner than a lot of the next generation systems games. I mean really. The first DKC looked cleaner than most things on playstation. Not to mention a kicking sound track. All that being said. This might not be your cup of tea. There are a lot of flaws that come with such a nice looking project. Such as hit detection and slow down. Doesn't make it a bad game. There is just a learning curve. This game is avalible on the switch, the wii and the super nintendo. But I can only imagine it will be a short amount of time before nintendo releases a collection. Worth checking out. Don't throw your controller.

Donkey Kong Country
I bet when this came out everyone was like “Oh you can’t reimagine Donkey Kong, it’s a classic.” and if they came out with a new version of this now they’d say “Oh you can’t reimagine Donkey Kong Country, it’s a classic.”

Donkey Kong Country
Classic game with excellent music. Sometimes I feel like the hit box is wonky on this one, but otherwise a great addition to the SNES and a great way to introduce DK to a new generation

Donkey Kong Country
This is still one of my favorite DK games. I’m hoping they continue to expand upon this franchise.

Donkey Kong Country
A lot of fun and a great way for the DK storyline to head. Glad to see that he isn't always the bad guy.

Donkey Kong Country
The soundtrack for this game still holds up as background noise when I am working. Gameplay also still holds up and I am so happy you can play it on the switch.

Donkey Kong Country
I loved this game as a kid, I love this game as an adult. Any time I ever went to my grandparents house, I would always look for ways to be able to play this game. Pretty sure my grandparents only had a Nintendo for use of the grandkids, but those are memories I hold with me.

Donkey Kong Country
An absolutely unforgiving game of precision and timing. To this day, I’m still working on completing it.

Donkey Kong Country
Not only was it 5 stars then, but it still holds up to the day. Challenging but not outright infuriating.
