The Compact Disc-Interactive (CD-I, later CD-i) is a digital optical disc data storage format that was mostly developed and marketed by Dutch company Philips. Loved this system. My friends and I had a lot of laughing at all the weird games but also had fun with some of the more serious games.

Misunderstood phenomenon. This system had the ability to be incredible. The power surpassed every cd system of the time. But no first party companies wanting to work on it caused massive issues. As a last ditch effort they started putting movies with " CD Quality " sound. Unfortunately, they forgot to look at the picture. Dances with wolves is unwatchable.... that has nothing to do with the cdi I just thought I would throw that out there as well.
