Tabletop Carcassonne
Carcassonne is like Catan. It's one of the OGs in the modern era of Euro Gaming. Work Placement, Tile Placement, Area Control, Point Salad, completely different ending boards and score conditions each game. It's a solid game to get anyone use to the step up from the Milton Bradley era.

It's hard for me to separate this one from it's various expansions, the Carcassonne Big Box is a thing and is totally worth it if you're looking to get this game and introduce it to your group.

Component-wise, again, this is OG, the origin of wooden meeples and study tiles make it a game that will last.

I played several of the expansions before I played the original, and I like the original the best so far! Very basic gameplay, which allows gamers of all skill levels to enjoy the game. My main knock against the game is that the randomness of drawing tiles can lead to certain players getting advantages in points. Other than that, very enjoyable gameplay for everyone!

Such a fun game to play with family. Was introduced it two years ago on thanksgiving and fell in love with it. It's a game of luck and skill of the brain. You need to hope for the right piece but you need to be smart with how you place the piece. Overall a very fun game that I love to play a lot.

Technically, I'd give this 3 stars. Bumping it up is my experience using the game tiles with my daughter to 1) get her started with board game mechanics and 2) give her a unique puzzle-like experience for logic development.

The game itself is still most fun with newer players.

A great two person game. You work together to build towns and cities, but you are also working to get more points in said Towns and cities with the "meeples"
It's super simple and easy to learn and play. Another great tabletop game to start with if you want to get into tabletop games

This is one of those gateway games. It fairly simple, but still has strategy to keep the game one to come back to. The game changes each time you play because throughout the game you are setting up the board by placing tiles. This one is a lot of fun!

I enjoy Carcassonne. You draw tiles and figure out how to attach it to a growing countryside of cities, roads, and fields. The base game has simple ways to score but the expansion add many new scoring methods.
