Got this game on my 13th birthday and played it to death for months. The story is stylish, the combat and stealth system at the time was very engaging and made you think. LOVED the boss battles. Recently replayed this on the MGS collection on Xbox after 23 years and I fell in love with it all over again. A little ugly these days, but it's the inner beauty that counts, right?

Following the superbly creepy atmosphere and POV established with series relaunch RE7, RE Village brings a lot more action and wild beasts to the fray with some excellent mountainous european style locales. Our protagonist Ethan is now searching for his kidnapped child and will go up against some pretty grotesque and twisted individuals in his endeavor. I loved the game and followed up with 2 additional playthroughs to unlock some stuff. It's not perfect (where's the puzzle creativity, Capcom?!), but it is both gorgeous and horrifying to look at. Also, it has Lady D.

These RE remakes have been absolutely killer (especially RE2), the bones of what made the original RE4 are present and they've amped up the atmosphere and horror of the creatures. Can't wait to complete a speedrun.

They took two of arguably the best Tony Hawk games and brought them into current gen with sick graphics and the OG soundtrack list. Moves and locales match the original to a T, with some cool new online modes for multiplayer. It's not as convoluted with its move list like the Skate series, so you'll have a lot of fun popping tricks and riding around real life locations. Vicarious Visions really nailed this remake.

Best COD in a long time. The campaign is excellent, spy thriller material. Online is crisp, back to basics like the old Blops 2 days. Round-based zombies is baaaack! Love the cosmetics so far, definitely took a page out of Fortnite's book with regards to personalization.

Once in awhile a game comes along that pushes your ambition beyond the confines of a screen. As you move from lower difficulty to higher difficulty on songs you listened to all your life, you think, "wait, if I can play this on expert, I can DEFINITELY play this on a real guitar!"...NOPE, not even close. However, my love of playing irl guitar was strengthened by spending countless hours trying to 5-star as many songs as I could. This game truly made you feel like a rockstar.

Story wasn't anything to write home about, but I LOVED the artillery and the tiered assassination/target list using a deck of playing cards to determine the big bads from the low-level soldiers. Shoulder-mounted nuke anyone? So many cities reduced to rubble due to my unchecked artillery testing. Definitely needs to be remade as it hasn't aged gracefully.

Alright, so you don't like the jerks that shoot you on site and steal your stuff. I hate it too. But you know what, this game has more of the same ugly, amazing irradiated creature that I've come to know and love from the series. It's come a long way since the launch and hopefully the popularity of the show will help guide the game toward something of great substance.

For a 2-D world, I was pleasantly surprised with how much they jammed into this. Every world theme was beautifully crafted, full of secrets and filled to the brim with memorable and (sometimes) frustrating characters. Yeah, it took me awhile to find out which castle that promiscuous princess was in, but that’s not what my goal was. I wanted to eliminate the Koopa Bloodline. Every scepter was a notch in my belt until my fated rival with the king, which did not disappoint. Also, magical flutes!
