I spent many an hour playing this as a kid. It would be great if they released it with an online multiplayer mode.

It may not hold up as well today but I’ll give this one 4 stars because of nostalgia and because I’m Canadian (and hockey is in our DNA)!
I remember playing this game all the time with @mariomaestro growing up - so many good times! And of course, the fights were the best part! 😂

One of my favorites as a kid, and I still own it. I always thought they said "Hut The Pass" and I'll probably go on saying that...but according to Wikipedia

"The NES passing sound bite is garbled and has been interpreted as "With the pass", "It's a pass", etc. but the arcade passing bite is clearly audible and confirms the phrase as "Get the pass"."

Classic 8 bit fun. I rented the heck out of this one. Doesn't even matter that there were only 8 teams that were unlicensed. The fighting, the soccer-like penalty shots, the indecipherable announcer, the intermission games. Lose a fight? Into the penalty box you go. Konami made one of a kind here.

Great NES entry but not even the best hockey game on the system, so I can only give 4 stars.

I just remember how real this game looked as a kid. Compared to the games that were out for hockey. There was fighting, skilled face offs and quick passing. Not to mention a amazing between periods video and game. In 98 Konami tried to bring this back on the n64. Butttttttttt... nah. Stick with the original

My first introduction into Hockey games and they stuck with me ever since. It certainly shined a light on the sport that wasn't as popular at the time.
